Around 700 jobs expected at Duqm Refinery over the coming months

Jasim Hassan Al Ajmi, Head of Corporate Sustainability and Communications at Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries, has said that the continuous success of efforts to create jobs is an indication of the solidarity of government agencies and the private sector, in line with the first phase of the programme aimed at providing employment to Omani citizens.

Al Ajmi said that acording to the indicators, over the coming months the goals of the programme would be met.

He pointed out that Omanisation levels at the Duqm refinery exceed ninety percent at the executive management level and for middle administration the figure stands at 77 percent.

Al Ajmi went on to reveal that over the coming months, in coordination with the Ministry of Manpower and the Economic Zone Authority of Duqm, about 700 jobs are due to be created in both the refinery project and in companies working on its construction.
