The Sultanate hosted the thirty-fourth meeting of the Arab Permanent Committee for Post this morning, under the patronage of His Excellency Said Hamdoon Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Ports and Maritime Affairs, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry for Communications.
Several topics of interest within sector were discussed, most notably the Arab postal strategy 2018-2023 and the regulation of e-commerce.
“The agenda of the 34th meeting of the Arab Permanent Committee for Post represents the efforts of the Arab postal administrations with regard to enforcing cooperation among them, in order to formulate strategies and develop future plans,” said Khalid Fouda, Director of the Telecommunication Development and Information Technology Department of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
By hosting such meetings the Sultanate is attempting to play an active role, both internationally and across the region in various fields, as well as strengthen relations among Arab nations, in the hope of achieving common strategic objectives in various sectors.
