Supporters of the Oman national team who were injured following the Gulf Cup final have left Kuwait and headed back to the Sultanate.
The fans were injured when a section of the the Jaber International Stadium seating collapsed, as team and supporters were celebrating Friday’s victory.
According to Kuwait TV, the fans left Kuwait onboard a royal aircraft after receiving full treatment. Some fans are set to remain behind for a further day or two in Kuwait to receive further treatment before heading back home.
Oman won the 23rd Gulf Cup after beating the UAE on penalties after a goalless draw.
