The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), has launched a new application Waqudi, which enables customers to evaluate petrol stations stations. This comes in line with the government’s approach to electronic services.
Yaqoub Shaikh Al Dhabouni, Head of the Licensing Department of Petroleum Products at the General Directorate of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said that this service allows citizens and residents to evaluate the services provided by petrol stations across the Sultanate. This ensures transparency and competitiveness among service providers relating to the provision of quality services and facilities.
Al Dabouni added that the application is available for Android smartphones as well as the Apple IOS system. Users download Waqudi to their phone, before registering their e-mail and password. The system will then be able to determine their location and provide them with information on the nearest station, or any other station that they may wish to evaluate.
The application allows users to evaluate stations in terms of general appearance, shopping facilities, food facilities, car wash facilities, tire repair facilities, air pump facilities, ATMs and toilets.
