The Dhofar Department of Inquiry and Criminal Investigation has arrested eight individuals accused of theft in a number of different cases.
An official source at the Dhofar Royal Oman Police (ROP) confirmed that several police stations had received six different reports of vehicle theft.
A number of suspects were arrested, admitting to carrying out the six thefts in question.
Six suspects were also arrested on charges of involvement in other robbery cases.
