The Department of Consumer Protection in Dhofar managed to recover a total of 10,951 Omani Rials for consumers in a number of different cases over the last year, according to the statistics issued by the department. This comes as part of the Consumer Protection Authority’s efforts to help consumers.
Ali Salim Al Basrawi Director of Administration, explained that the total number of complaints received by the department over 2017 amounted to 969, with these distributed across a number of sectors.
Al Basrawi stressed that this came as part of efforts of the General Authority for Consumer Protection to preserve the rights of consumers and solve complaints either through friendly settlement methods or by referring them to the judicial authorities.
