The Information Technology Authority is today marking Safer Internet Day 2018, an awareness campaign that takes place worldwide on the 6th of February every year.
According to the official Twitter account of the Information Technology Authority, the idea behind the campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of safe internet use, particularly with among children.
The event, which is taking place at Muscat Grand Mall, is organised by the Information Technology Authority’s National Centre for Computer Safety and is sponsored by Insightoman, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Social Development.
