The governor of Jericho and Al Aghwar and Head of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, has valued the efforts of the Sultanate in playing a leading role in the Arab world in supporting the Palestinian leadership. He went on to point out that the Sultanate is one of the few countries that doesn’t interfere in internal Palestinian affairs.
He added that Palestine views the visit of His Excellency Yusuf bin Alawi, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, as significant, referring to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said as a political figure who has left an important mark on international relations.
The governor added that the Sultanate has always stood by the Palestinians, particularly those in the Gaza Strip, with Omani humanitarian initiatives setting a precedent in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
His Excellency Yusuf bin Alawi arrived in Palestine today for an official visit, during which he met a number of senior Palestinian officials, to discuss current regional and international issues.
