Data provided by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has revealed the number of teachers in public and private schools in the Sultanate.
According to the official NCSI Twitter account, the the number of teachers in public schools during the academic year 2016/2017 was 56,614. The number of teachers in private schools during the same academic year was 8,666.
According to the data, during the academic year 2016/2017, the average number of students per teacher was eleven.
