The Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) has announced the winners of the OPAL Award for best practices, in a ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
Awards were given for best practices in the fields of human resource development, technical and operational excellence, health, safety and the environment and small and medium enterprise development. Eleven companies took part in the award.
PDO was awarded best practices in the categories Human Resources Development and Health, Safety and the Environment, while Daleel Petroleum won best practices in the technical and operational excellence category.
Musallam Rashid Al Manthari, CEO of OPAL, praised the efforts made by the companies in attempting to achieve the highest quality standards in four categories covered by the competition.
