The Mutrah Heritage and Tourism Festival began yesterday evening at the Qurum Natural Park under the patronage of Dr. Yahya Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council. The festival continues until the 28th of March.
Sayyid Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Wali of Mutrah and Chairman of the festival organising committee said that the idea of the festival was to highlight Omani heritage and culture, as well as to promote tourism, given Mutrah’s importance as a location for tourists.
The festival features a number of events, in addition to blood donation and Oman Road Safety Society campaigns.
