The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested four Omani nationals in Muscat on charges of imitating police officers.
The suspects are accused of carrying out robberies under the pretence that they were police officers, in nine different cases in Muscat.
An official ROP source said that following an investigation, the suspects were identified and arrested, before being referred to the judicial authorities for legal proceedings to be completed.
The ROP calls for immediate notification in the event of suspicion of people carrying out such acts, by calling 9999.
