The Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD) signed an agreement today to expand the water network in the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, as part of its plans to complete infrastructure projects and help attract investment.
Yahya Said Al Jabri, SEZAD Chairman, signed the agreement alongside Ali Mubarak Al Matar, Executive Director of Al Matar Trading and Contracting, who will carry out the project.
The 2.3 million Rial project aims to deliver potable water to a number of sites at the zone.
The project will see two water tanks constructed, with a capacity of 500 m3, in addition to water pumping stations and connections to the existing water network. The length of pipelines is approximately seventeen kilometres.
The implementation of the project shall come within 548 days of the agreement being penned.
