As part of the Oman Vision 2040, an initiative titled ‘All of Oman’ is to be launched on the 25th of March, so as to reinforce the participatory approach that the Oman Vision 2040 is based on.
The initiative is among five other communication initiatives aimed at the various segments of Omani society, in order to get the full participation of the local community in formulating and shaping the future vision.
Oman 2040 aims to involve the public by taking into consideration their priorities and future aspirations, as well as offering them the opportunity to participate efficiently to achieve sustainable development in the Sultanate.
The initiative will visit all of the various governorates across the Sultanate to expand public participation in defining the vision and its objectives, as well as to get insights and suggestions.
The initiative will kick off in Al Buraimi, followed by Musandam, Al Dhakhiliyah, North Al Batinah, South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahira, Dhofar, Muscat and South Al Batinah.
The initiative will involve a one-day forum in each governorate, with the participation of almost 200 participants. The audience will first be introduced and briefed about Oman 2040, followed by a panel discussion with locals, for which Oman 2040 Office representatives will be in attendance. The forum will also include a workshop on the vision’s pillars, which are people and society, economy and development and governance and institutional performance.
